Check Politics is a little different political blog. We will try to put light on specific people in politics, talk about their past, their ambitions, their plans, their mistakes and whatever else might be of interest in connection with them. In America there are so many politicians we have never heard of. At least most of us.

And unless you are really involved in politics and news coverage on a daily basis, chances are that you are not even aware of most of these politicians. That's the reason, why hardly anybody really knew Barack Obama when he ran for President, or Sarah Palin when she was nominated for Vice President for the 2008 Republican ticket, or what about Rod Blagojevich. Even most reporters have to be honest and say: "Before the scandal I really never heard of the guy."

But all these people are important in one way or other and we will try to give you a clear picture of who they are and why you should know about them.

We will also include surveys, just to get simple answers like. "Do you think that Barack Obama is ready to lead the country?" Or "Do you think Rod Blagojevich is guilty of trying to sell Barack Obama's senate seat?" Or "Do you think that Caroline Kennedy is fit to run for the Senate seat in New York?"
